The primary focus of the project was to migrate the existing online shop from Prestashop to Shopware. This step was critical to enhance the performance and scalability of www.praxisbedarf-aerzteverlag.de, while also providing greater customization options for Deutscher Ärzteverlag. We ensured a seamless transition, transferring all data, functionalities, and integrations to the new Shopware system without any disruptions. This migration allowed Deutscher Ärzteverlag to operate its e-commerce platform more efficiently and prepare it for future growth.
Another key element of the project was developing an advanced product editor and configurator. This tailor-made tool enables Deutscher Ärzteverlag's customers to personalize various products, such as stamps, business cards, name badges, and appointment cards. With an intuitive interface, medical professionals can easily customize these products with specific details like names, practice information and other individual preferences. We collaborated closely with the publishing house’s team to meet their exact requirements, ensuring the configurator was fully integrated into the new Shopware platform.
